Lumbar Spine

Lumbar Spinal Fusion
Permanent fusion of two or more lumbar vertebrae using screws, plates, or bone grafts.
Indications: Unstable fractures, vertebral slippage (spondylolisthesis), or severe facet joint damage due to trauma.
Extreme Lateral Interbody Fusion
A minimally invasive procedure where the disk space is entered from the side of the abdomen to remove damaged disk and place a large implant with graft.

Indications: spondylolisthesis, spinal stenosis, instability, deformity
Lumbar Discectomy
Removal of herniated disc material that's pressing on a nerve root.
Indications: Traumatic lumbar disc herniation causing sciatica, leg pain, numbness, or weakness.
Lumbar Microdiscectomy
A minimally invasive procedure to remove a small portion of a herniated lumbar disc that's pressing on a nerve. Uses a small incision and microscopic tools
Indications: Severe leg pain (sciatica), numbness, or weakness due to a lumbar disc herniation that hasn't improved with conservative treatment.
Lumbar Laminectomy
Removal of the back part of the vertebra (the lamina) to create space for the nerves.
Indications: Lumbar spinal stenosis or nerve compression caused by traumatic injury
Anterior Lumbar Interbody Fusion
A procedure where the disk space is accessed from the front of the abdomen to remove damaged disk and place a large implant with graft.

Indications: spondylolisthesis, spinal stenosis, disk disease, instability, deformity.
